Eric Denny is very highly recommended guide tour. We have done with him Zhangjiajie National Park (Avatar Planet), Tianzi Mountain, Golden Whip Stream, Glass Bridge, Tianmen Mountain Tour. 3 wonderful and delightful days. Eric is wonderful great guide, with fluent English. He is honest and very helpful. He has great and enormous knowledge of this area and territories and when you are with him you feel like you know him many years. Always smiling and give you a great feeling. Eric is taking care of all you need (tickets, where to eat, what to do, recommendation) and he is very communicative on the app. WeChat and by email. His tour guide is value for money. Eric was the most amazing tour guide and a great hiking companion. Each day was an awesome adventure as he skillfully immersed my husband and I into the natural beauty and unique culture of Zhangjiajie, making this 5 day tour the most memorable part of our China trip. Professional yet personable, intelligent but interesting, detail-oriented, fun, and accommodating to our religious preferences and vegetarian dietary restrictions, Eric was the best! If you are touring in Zhangjiajie and you want the best and most excellent tour guide of all you will sign up with Eric. He is very balanced, he knows when to talk and when not to talk. Eric is highly professional and very accommodating. Before visiting Zhangjiajie, we contacted Eric and together we were able to work out an itinerary that fit our limited 2 day schedule. Upon arrival, Eric met us at the airport and coordinated a van for our party and accompanied us to the hotel. Once at the hotel he helped us communicate with the hotel staff who spoke very little english, making the check in process very smooth. Shortly after getting our rooms settled, Eric took us to the Yellow Dragon Caves and for dinner, introduced us to a restaurant serving authentic locally grown organic Chinese food. Let me start off by saying that Eric is a foodie! If you love to eat and are willing to try chinese food just ask him and he is more than excited to introduce you to the Chinese food culture. Within our party there was a spice restriction, so Eric asked the kitchen to tone down the spice while still making the food enjoyable by our request. Let me add that all the menus in the area are in Chinese, so we would have not been able to decipher all the good food without Eric. The next day we spent it going around the Avatar Mountains and the afternoon at the golden whipping pond. Avatar mountains can not be described in word or pictures. Eric knows all the good photo points, and at the very crowded tour group locations, he knows all the secret photo spots where the huge tour groups don’t go. Towards the evening for dinner Eric introduced to the Tujia style chinese food also very delicious! The next morning we wanted to maximize our time before the flight and Eric was able to fit in the Tianmen mountain and dinner before we parted ways. Eric was able to accommodate our older traveler while still allowing the able hikers to have a great time. Many great memorable photos were made on this trip! We are glad Eric had time for us in his schedule and will look to book him again when we come back to Zhangjiajie! Read less

We spent 4 days in Zhangjiajie with Eric. He's an experienced and knowledgeable local tour guide, who knows the geography and history of this region very well. Eric was very flexible with our arranged schedule; he adjusted the time and place accordingly to fit with the weather condition and to avoid the crowd. We love how he leaded us through all the shortcuts, or less tourist walk ways to get to our destinations or to go back to our car, or to the perfect locations for pictures. My daughter enjoyed listen to all of the legends and local stories about Zhangjiajie and about Tujia people from him. We enjoyed the tour greatly, even though the weather was uncooperative some time.He's a very good local guide with great knowledge of the region. Top pick of tour helper. Read less

Eric is amazing!!!To be honest, we have a few guides before him for our long journey in China, he is definitely the top one.Eric is a great person with adorable personality:easy-going,warm-hearted,funny,and super talented. he's like an old friend known for years.What impresses us the most is his musical talent, he sings folk song with great voice and plays his flute wonderfully.It's really a special treat and privilege for us to hear local music at the most beautiful spot. Besides, he knows the area well in history and local interesting legends. he makes our tour much more enjoyable both in the nature and culture way.Without him,our trip would be kinda plain.

We spent three days in/around Zhangjiajie with Eric and from start to finish, he provided an excellent experience,If you've never been to China and are considering a visit, this area is a must in your itinerary,and Eric will make sure you get the most out of your visit, His knowledge of the area,the pride he has in him hometown, and his geuinely friendly nature really make this special. We had several guides in different areas throughout the country and Eric was definitely the top of the pack. His goal at the start of our three days was that we would be part as friends and he succeeded marvellously.

The one regret we have is that we didn't spend more time in and around Zhangjiajie, three days was fantastic but we'll be back again in the future to see how things have changed and catch more of the beautiful sights that we didn't have an opportunity to visit the first time around.!Book early, don't be afraid to ask questions,and prepared for a wonderful adventure!
