Dynamic  Yunnan  is  a  fusion  of   traditional  ethnic  folk  music  and   modern  dance .It draws  from  Yunnan's rich  legends  and  cultural  traditions  to  express  the  struggles  and   aspirations  of   the  human  condition. It's  an  attempt  to   create  a  living  museum  where  colorful   folk   music  traditons in  Yunnan  can  live  on  for  future   generations. It's  created  and   choreographed   by  the  most   outstanding   dancer  and  stage   artist  in  China ---Yang liping. She  has traveled  to  some  of  Yunan's  most  remote  regions  in search  of  the  elements  of  song  and  dance   to  create  this performance   that  are  fundamentally   representative   of   this  unique  place.And  95% of  the performers  are   Yunnan  minorities  people, presenting  the  charms  of   those  ancient   races. It's really  a  classic   work   and  a  feast  for   your  ears  and  eyes.

Wenhua Street is the Foreigners` Street in Kunming. There are some good restautant here. You can taste Japanese cooking, Korean cuisine and absolutely all kinds of local delicacies of Yunnan. You can not only have your meal here, but also do some shopping. And there are many foreigners here. Some of them have been in Kunming for more than one year. They will give you some good advice about how to enjoy the days in Kunming. You can spend a whole afternoon here, chatting and relaxing. For there are some good cafés and bars here. Life is easy here.

The Hump over the Himalayas Hostel’s relaxed rooftop bar offers an excellent location to have a drink while taking in a great view of Kunming’s city center. The bar provides an opportunity to compare notes with other travelers in a laid back, informal atmosphere.  Any information, advice, or helpful tips can be obtained and/or discussed here. You can also enjoy a game of pool or table football and the bar’s convenient location near several discos.  While the author certainly does not endorse corporate fast food chains, the Hump also happens to be across the street from McDonald’s, one of Kunming’s only 24 hour eating establishments.

Located in Jinbi Plaza in the most popular hostel in Kunming.  If taking a taxi tell the driver "jinbi guang chang."

The Speakeasy Bar attracts some of the bigger crowds in Kunming, especially on weekends.  This underground bar offers two pool tables, a stage for live music (on occasion), plenty of area to sit, a dance floor that gets busy on Friday and Saturday, and rotating DJs that spin different kinds of music throughout the week.  Cocktails are cheap but could stand to be a bit stronger.  Also, beware of the smell on the way in.  Overall, good times can be had at the Speakeasy, especially if lots of alcohol is in the mix.

The Speakeasy is located on Dongfeng Xi Lu under an internet cafe, down the road south of where Jianshi Lu and Wenlin Jie intersect.  Jianshi Lu becomes Dongfeng Xi Lu at that point.

Located in the Kundu Area, Babi is an exciting after hours dance club where you can drink, dance, ogle, and socialize with the late night crowd of locals.

Kundu, Xinwen Lu.  You will probably be heading there after the buses are shut down so hop in a taxi and tell the driver "Babi" and he or she will probably know where to go.  Otherwise, "Kundu" will probably work as well.
