Geography

Land area: over 9.6 million square kilometers.  That makes it the third largest country after Russia and Canada. 

Neighbouring countries: Russia, Mongolia, North Korea, Nepal, India, Vietnam, Laos, Afganistan, Bhutan, Myanmar, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan (disputed area between India and Pakistan), India and Sikkim.

Neighbouring seas: Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, South China Sea and East China Sea. 

Coastline: 18,000km according the Chinese government.

Climate: Diverse - tropical to subartic.

Highest point: Mount Qomolangma (Everest) 8,850 meters. On the border with Nepal.
