Business Cards
Business cards are very popular in China.  Here are a couple pointers on business card etiquette:

- When giving or receiving a business card use both hands.  When giving a card, hand the card to the receiver with thumbs on the top corners of the card so that the receiver can view the printing on the card as it is presented to them.
- After receiving a card take the time to read both sides of it before putting it away.  Asking a question about the card is a good way to show that you are being observant.
- After receiving a business card put it in your wallet or business card holder, not just in your pocket.
- Some people consider it rude to write on another person’s business card.
- The colours red and gold are auspicious.  If it fits with your company’s image, consider having these colours added to your business card.
- Business cards should include Chinese and English.  Putting Chinese on one side and English on the other works well.
