Orange Island was developed as a tourist attraction in 1992. Walk across the No. 1 Bridge over the Xiangjiang River, just opposite the Yuelu scenic area. You can spend a few hours walking around the island or take a shuttle bus.

The towering trees that provide dense shade emerge through heavily planted foliage around the mountains and provide an instant sense of refreshment and vitality to the environment. The full-blown azaleas in spring, the tranquility and coolness in summer, the flamboyant maple leaves in autumn and the silver-colored trees covered with snow and frost in winter make it a delightful spot all year round.
Besides the natural scenery, Yuelu Mountain abounds with cultural landscape as well. Many literati, ideologists, and hierarchy once visited here and left their tracks. The coexistence of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism is the most unique culture in this mountain. The representative buildings are the Yuelu Academy, the Lushan Temple, the Sarira Tower, the Yunlu Palace, and the Aiwan Pavilion.
Additionally, Mt. Yuelu is an excellent education base for patriotism. So many revolutionists, patriots and great people with high ideals like Huang Xing, Cai E and Jiang Yiwu, who were dedicated to the democratic revolution of the old type, were buried here.
And the monuments, graves and cemeteries built for those martyrs make a solemn and stirring scene on the mountain.

Fenghuang County (凤凰县; literally: “phoenix county”) is under the administration of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan province, China, bordering the prefecture-level cities of Huaihua to the southeast and Tongren (Guizhou) to the west. It has an exceptionally well-preserved ancient town that harbors unique ethnic languages, customs, arts as well as many distinctive architectural remains of Ming and Qing styles. The town is placed in a mountain setting, incorporating the natural flow of water into city layout. Over half of the city’s population belong to the Miao or Tujia minorities. It was the center of the unsuccessful Miao Rebellion (1854–73), which created a Miao diaspora in Southeast Asia during the last two centuries. The city is revered in Miao traditions and funeral rites and is the location of the Southern China Great Wall (中国南方长城; 中國南方長城; ), a fortification built by the Ming dynasty to protect the local Han Chinese from Miao attacks.

In the afternoon we will arrive to our fist tourist attraction, Yellow Dragon Cave ( we will spend at least one and an half hour to finish it). It is called "the most marvelous tourist cave in China". It is also called "underground enchanted palace".

Day 1

Yuanjiajie - Tianzi Mountain - Ten Miles Gallery
We are going to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. We will take Bailong Sightseeing Elevator to arrive Yuanjiajie Scenic Aera. You will see AVATAR Mountain. The movie AVATAR is shot here. Enjoy Hallelujah Mountain, NO.1 Bridge in the world and so on. We will go to Tianzi Mountain by coach and cable car in the afternoon. It is known for 4 natural spectacles - the clouds of mist that circle the peaks of the mountain, the amazing views of the rising sun,the moonlit nights and snowcapped winter peaks.They include more than 80 natural platforms to take in the magnificent scenery. Then we will visit Ten Miles Gallery Scenic Area. We will take a small sightseeing train to go through the spot. Go back hotel at the end of the day.
Day 3
Golden Whip Brook (Golden Whip Stream) - Huangshi Village (Yellow Stone Village)
Huangshi Village lies to the west of Zhangjiajie Forest Park with an altitude of 1200m and covers an area of 250mu. We will take a cable car to go up there. You can enjoy the Six Strange Pagoda, Picking Star Platform, Five Finger Peak, Lover peaks and so on when you are on the top of mountain. Golden Whip Brook is Located in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, covers a distance of 7.5km from north to south, winding across mountains and valleys. The brook is limpid through the year, with many scenic spots along the way. It is famous for Jinbian Cave-which has a height of 382km and looks like a huge flying eagle. Go back Changsha at 3:00pm ( estimated arriving time is 9:30pm )
